Alcohol & Drug Rehab Toronto Launches Program to Support Adults, Adolescents in Healing From Alcohol Addiction and Drug Addiction
Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) January 09, 2014 -- A Toronto alcohol and drug rehab center is launching a program that encourages healing from alcohol addiction and drug addiction for adults and adolescents through Drug Addiction Treatment Centers.
Information from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health reveals that "in any given year, one in five Canadians experiences a mental health or addiction problem. About 20 percent of people with a mental disorder have a co-occurring substance use problem."
According to a report from the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse, 14–21 percent of students in Grade 12 report driving within an hour of using cannabis, and more than 33 percent of Grade 12 students report having been a passenger with someone who had used cannabis.
Drug rehabilitation allows adults and adolescents a chance to get clean from their alcohol and drugs - ranging from marijuana to prescription drugs. Detoxification is part of this process, cleansing out the physical body filled with mind-altering substances.
Counselors and therapists are on staff at Drug Addiction Treatment Centers, ready to help adults and adolescents figure out where their lives went off track and got caught up in the vicious cycle of addiction. Real-life issues are faced, including physical, emotional, spiritual or mental abuse.
These drug rehab staff members can rely on their personal and professional experiences with addiction to offer compassion and support to recovering individuals working to overcome their addictions.
Staff and clients are able to exchange stories of shared experiences, which will let recovering individuals know they are not alone in their journey. Entering and going through drug rehab can become a life-changing journey for any person serious about kicking their habit.
