Touch International achieves AS9100C Certification

Touch International, a leading supplier of custom touch screens, displays, and other value-add display enhancements, announced today it has achieved AS9100 certification for its Shenzhen, China manufacturing facility. AS9100 is a quality standard for companies that design, develop, or produce products for aerospace applications. Prior to AS9100 Certification, all Touch International facilities were ISO 9001:2008 certified.

“The certification is the next step in taking our successful aerospace program to the next level through a carefully measured and constantly improved process,” says Chris Gasson, Aerospace Program Manager. “We continue to dominate the in-flight entertainment market and have expanded beyond touch screens and optical filters into display and bezel integration. AS9100 requirements will help us maintain excellence in our aerospace applications while yielding improvements across all of our vertical markets.”

AS9100 certification provides companies with a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) focused on areas directly impacting aerospace product safety and reliability. AS9100's key aspects include safety, airworthiness, product conformity and reliability in the aerospace industry. These quality requirements are paramount to aerospace OEMs, considering the complexity of aerospace products and industry expectations for reliable performance during a protracted period of time.
