Central Jersey Convention & Visitors Bureau Nominated for Best Convention and Visitor Bureau in Town
West Windsor Township NJ (PRWEB) August 23, 2016 -- The Central Jersey Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has received important recognition in the category "Best CVB in a Town/Area over 25,000 People" by New Jersey Meetings and Events magazine. The honor and award were presented at the magazine's annual Best of New Jersey readers' choice reception at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake banquet facility.
The "Best Of" competition recognizes and honors the top players in the region's meetings and events industry. Awards are meant to salute above-and-beyond service, hard work and commitment to central Jersey tourism by area hospitality organizations and suppliers. Categories are chosen by the magazine's editor to represent various aspects of the region's changing hospitality landscape. Magazine readers determine winners in each category by online balloting. The awards banquet is one of the largest gatherings of regional tourism and hospitality industry professionals each year.
Lina Llona, president of the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce (MCRCC) that oversees the Central Jersey CVB, said, "This is an extremely meaningful acknowledgment of our hard work because it comes straight from the people—the actual readers of New Jersey Meetings and Events magazine who voted to recognize our efforts. The entire staff takes great pride in being appreciated for their daily work promoting the many fun and interesting things to do in central Jersey."
Being centrally located in the state, Middlesex County is known as the heart of New Jersey and is home to 25 separate municipalities. MCRCC focuses on regional economic development issues impacting county businesses and collaboration with town officials and community leaders within its borders. New Jersey Meetings and Events magazine is published by Meetings and Events Media Group, producers of magazines in each state that expose readers to cultural events, service providers, venues and other hospitality and event resources.
