Tracey Wood & Associates, a law firm which concentrates on OWI (operating while intoxicated) and criminal defense, opened its doors in February 2014. In less than one year, this Madison law firm has seen tremendous growth, not only with the addition of Attorney Adam Nero, but also with a recent move to a bigger office space. The Tracey Wood & Associates’ team includes owner, Attorney Tracey Wood, Sarah Schmeiser and Adam Nero.
“I am proud of the work we did in our first year. We are rapidly growing and as we focus a lot of our work on OWI cases, Adam’s experience and education, especially the curriculum he completed at the National College for DUI Defense last summer, will be an asset to our firm,” said Attorney Tracey Wood.
Most recently, Adam Nero joined the firm, after graduating magna cum laude in 2014 from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin state courts.
Attorney Sarah M. Schmeiser practiced for nine years in her own firm, before joining Tracey Wood & Associates. She spent her nine years previous, defending clients charged with various criminal and traffic offenses in municipal, state and federal court.
A Wisconsin native, owner, Attorney Tracey Wood is well known throughout the Wisconsin legal community for her knowledge and success in the field of OWI offense, in addition to representing clients accused of drinking and driving. From the beginning of her legal career in 1993, she dedicated herself to the defense of OWI and criminal cases and has become a frequent guest speaker at legal conferences across the nation, an author of several published articles on the topic, and a contributor to a book on how to defend DUI cases. Recently, her firm was chosen as the defense team for an ongoing OWI Wisconsin Supreme Court case discussing the impact of a recent United States Supreme Court case in Wisconsin. Tracey is a repeated Super Lawyers honoree and the only DUI defense attorney listed in Super Lawyers top lawyers’ lists. She was also the first attorney in Wisconsin to be certified as a field sobriety test instructor.
The office is located at 1 South Pinckney St. Ste. 950, Madison, WI 53703. For more information or to schedule a consultation, please call (608) 661-6300.
