RE/MAX Realtor Tracy Hulsey Stresses Sellers Sell Now
Castle Rock, CO (PRWEB) March 01, 2016 -- Tracy Hulsey says now is the time to sell. According to The Colorado Springs Business Journal article, people from Denver and Castle Rock are looking south for more affordable homes, meaning that both apartment and housing inventories are low. “Availability is still extremely limited in Castle Rock,” said RE/MAX Southeast agent Tracy Hulsey. “Homes priced under $350,000 average only one week on the market, with homes under $200,000 almost non-existent.”
The price point with the largest availability, adds Hulsey, is the $475,000-$675,000 price range. If a home is above or below this, inventory is limited. For sellers and buyers thinking about getting into this market, Hulsey suggests doing their homework. This includes getting a free market analysis on their home, interviewing agents, learning the market in their neighborhood, checking out the competition and speaking to a lender about different financing options.
“Availability is not high; we are down 30% in inventory compared to two years ago,” said Hulsey, a recipient of the 5280 Five Star Professional Award for five consecutive years. “This is the time to sell, as we have experienced the largest increase in property values over the past eighteen months; 10-15% in value.”
All reports, adds Hulsey, suggest that the market will only see a 3-5% gain this year. Interest rates are at their lowest, and this is the time to take advantage of any equity in one’s home to move up, move lateral or downsize.
