Through the Partnership with Grand Design, transcosmos Expands “Gotcha! Mall” to ASEAN Market.

transcosmos Inc. has entered into a strategic and equity partnership with Grand Design Co., Ltd., developer of the shopping mall smartphone-app “Gotcha! Mall”. Through the partnership with Grand Design, transcosmos obtained its Japanese distributorship and exclusive ASEAN distributorship and will expand the Omni-channel platform business aimed at continually increasing smartphone users.

Grand Design provides the “Gotcha! Mall” shopping mall application by using a capsule toy promotion to encourage “store visits, purchases and re-visits” from smartphones. In “Gotcha! Mall”, a number of shops and brands have opened dedicated areas where users can obtain valuable rewards and coupons by playing. This is a completely new type of Omni-channel platform, which links the smartphone application with actual brick-and-mortar stores, including the ability to use acquired rewards and coupons in those stores, as well as the possibility of obtaining further rewards by playing in the stores.

In addition, it is possible to achieve an optimal incentive matching (free gifts such as coupons) for users by “Gotcha! Mall” DMP (Data Management Platform). This fine-tunes various types of data which are accumulated and analyzed considering perspectives including usage time and place, together with factors such as user attributes (gender and age, etc.) and play logs (number of times played, number of store visits, etc.).

Through this partnership with the license support, transcosmos will expand Omni-channel platform business utilizing “Gotcha! Mall” in the Japanese and ASEAN markets. In prospective markets where E-commerce is expected to be spread near future, transcosmos will expand Omni-channel services such as “attraction of customers to actual stores from smartphones by distributing rewards and coupons,” “introduction to actual stores by utilizing location information,” “introduction to online stores from actual stores” and “gift delivering.”
