transcosmos’ “Near-Shore Application Support Team” And “Bridge Team” Newly Organized Inside The Shibuya Corporate Headquarters

transcosmos strengthens website construction and operation services.

transcosmos inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and COO: Masataka Okuda; TSE First Section: 9715; hereafter, transcosmos) has newly organized a “Near-shore Application Support Team” and a “Bridge Team” within its corporate headquarters in Shibuya. In support of the website construction and operation services the company offers, these new teams will strengthen cooperation between on-site services, which reside at client locations and handle functions including website direction and operation, and near-shore production centers, which handle production processes. This will respond to the challenges faced by many companies, which include speeding up website construction and operation, cost optimization and quality assurance.

Users who browse company websites have come to utilize a variety of devices such as smartphones and tablets for gathering information, and the necessity has also arisen for businesses to prepare contents that are tailored to the needs of users for each device and contact media. However, there is a high degree of difficulty in constructing a system that can continuously offer complex marketing measures promptly, at an optimal cost while ensuring consistent quality, and many cases are seen where this has become a challenge for Web professionals.

In order to solve these problems, transcosmos will promote the further use and efficiency of on-site services residing within client companies to handle the direction and operation of websites, as well as near-shore production centers deployed at two locations in Okinawa and Fukuoka. As a new system for this purpose two new teams have been established within our corporate headquarters at Shibuya, a “Near-shore Application Support Team,” and a “Bridge Team” which specializes in work orders and quality control for the near-shore production centers.

Roles of the New Organizations

  • Near-shore Application Support Team

This team works in cooperation with the on-site directors resident within client companies, performing functions such as the “visualization of work,” “document maintenance,” “creation of guidelines” and “redesign of work flow” related to website construction and operation for the client companies, and it also implements proposals for sharing and routinizing the work and know-how of each person in charge. As a result, it is possible to clearly separate the important work of website operations to which a client’s Web personnel should devote time from work that can be outsourced, and this brings about improved operational efficiency and optimization of costs.

  • Bridge Team

This team deploys a professional staff of about 30 persons having three or more years of website construction and operation experience, as well as high evaluations from client companies in on-site work, and it performs thorough quality control and production process control. This makes it possible to create websites for client companies at optimal costs, in cooperation with the near-shore centers, while also ensuring quality.

With a focus on these two new organizations, transcosmos will deliver proposals for website construction and operation systems as well as business optimization tailored to each customer, and it will continue expanding support for increasingly complex and fast-moving Internet marketing.
