There is increased awareness of employers’ obligations around Duty of Care and our clients have the peace of mind of knowing we’re with them all the way, from planning a safe business trip to intervening to rescue their people in extremity.

His remit will include heading up Drum Cussac’s Global Operations Centre. Staffed 24/7, the GOC is the hub from which Drum Cussac delivers services that safeguard business travellers and remote employees worldwide. These services range from pre-trip security surveys and route reconnaissance to monitoring the traveller’s welfare as their business trip unfolds, coming to their aid should an incident occur, and providing close protection in riskier zones.

Peter Cooper says: “There’s a perception that security consultancy is all about saying ‘no’ and costing money. What differentiates Drum Cussac from other security consultancies is the way services can be flexibly moulded to the client’s needs, with a pragmatic approach to risk. There’s also a continual investment in people and technology, with a sustained commitment to delivering customer-centric solutions. This was a strong draw for me to join the company. It’s exciting to be part of Drum Cussac’s evolution going forward and I am extremely proud to be leading such a professional team of specialists.”

Peter adds: “There is increased awareness of employers’ obligations around Duty of Care and our clients have the peace of mind of knowing we’re with them all the way, from planning a safe business trip to intervening to rescue their people in extremity. Often, it’s the high-risk regions that offer the greatest commercial opportunities for our clients. It’s very rewarding to be in a position to enable their business while helping to mitigate risk and keep their people safe.”

Peter Cooper joins Drum Cussac from International SOS. Commenting on his appointment, Drum Cussac CEO Janette Hiscock says: “As we continue to evolve our market offering, attracting experienced high calibre professionals is essential and we are delighted to have Peter on the team. His military background and security assistance expertise will be great assets to our Global Operations Centre and will further enhance our capability.”
