Trego County Register of Deeds Begins E-Recording with Simplifile
TREGO COUNTY, Kan. (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- Trego County, Kan., has implemented electronic recording (e-recording) with Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider, enabling faster, more efficient and cost-effective document recording.
“[E-Recording] will be much quicker for both receiving and returning documents, benefiting our office and our customers,” said Trego County Register of Deeds Evea Rumpel.
With e-recording now available at the register of deeds office, customers including title companies, banks, attorneys, and other organizations that submit documents to the county for recording, have the option to submit documents in electronic form using Simplifile’s web-based service. This eliminates the need to use the mail or travel to the courthouse to have documents recorded, saving time and money.
In minutes, customers can quickly scan, upload, and submit documents to the county from their office computer, a much faster, more convenient method.
“Once the county receives the electronic documents, they can review, record, stamp and return them right away, which means customers no longer have to wait on the mail to get their documents back,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “E-Recording makes the overall process much simpler and more efficient for everyone involved.”
In addition to the faster turnaround time and savings on mailing expenses, e-recording also helps to reduce the county’s carbon footprint, eliminate payment errors, and decrease the number of rejected documents.
Trego County is the 28th e-recording county in Kansas and joins more than 1,050 recording jurisdictions across the nation that are also using Simplifile’s service for e-recording.
Simplifile offers free training and 24/7 customer support for all e-recording users. For more information about e-recording in Trego County, call 800-460-5657 or visit simplifile.com.
