Trident University International Business Professor Recounts Cases from Law Enforcement Career in New Book
Dr. Jeffrey Snider, an adjunct faculty member in Trident's Glenn R. Jones College of Business, has published Dirtbags and Dead Bodies, a book that collects 53 stories from his career in law enforcement.
CHANDLER, Ariz., Sept. 16, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Jeffrey Snider, a part-time faculty member in Trident's Glenn R. Jones College of Business, has published, Dirtbags and Dead Bodies, a book collecting some of the notable experiences he had during his time in law enforcement.
Dr. Snider has 20 years of university-level teaching experience. He joined Trident in 2011 and has taught courses including Decision Making for Leaders, Strategic Leadership, Power Influencer and Persuasion, Leadership and Change, and Organizational Development and Change.
In a career that spanned over 12 years, Dr. Snider served in roles that include street cop, homicide investigator, SWAT team leader, and Chief of Police. He served as a City Manager for the final five years of his public management experience. The 53 stories within Dirtbags and Dead Bodies are mined from his law enforcement experience, including homicides, kidnapping cases, and a barricaded gunman.
Dr. Snider's varied career also includes a quarter century managing major bank investment programs, including senior leadership roles. Before retiring to focus on teaching, he served as the Senior Partner in an investment team within a Wall Street firm.
He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the FBI SWAT school. Dr. Snider holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University, a Master of Arts in Social Science from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Police Science from the University of Puget Sound.
