The mobile application, designed by Trifecta Technologies of Allentown and ArtsQuest, captured a Gold Pinnacle Award for the Best Festival/Event Mobile Application during the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Sept. 16. This year marks the second year in a row ArtsQuest has captured top honors in the mobile app category at the awards, which recognize innovativeness and creativity in the festivals and events industry.
“Trifecta is proud to partner with ArtsQuest, for the second year in a row, to deliver a great mobile experience to the festival attendees. We are especially excited for the application to be recognized once again as a Gold Pinnacle Award Winner by the IFEA,” said Doug Pelletier, president and founder of Trifecta Technologies. “Our partnership with ArtsQuest has been focused around delivering an engaging mobile application that extends the festival activities through a uniquely interactive mobile experience, and it is great to be recognized for achieving that goal.”
Launched in July 2012, the Musikfest app features comprehensive information on Musikfest’s 300-plus performers, 60 food vendors and 45 artisans, as well as an interactive festival map and schedules, festival updates in real-time and more. More than 15,000 unique visitors used the app in 2013, an 11-percent increase over 2012.
“Since its debut, the Musikfest App has quickly become a popular resource for festival patrons looking to explore and enjoy everything Musikfest has to offer,” says ArtsQuest Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Curt Mosel. “This year we had more than 1.3 million page views on the app, a 20-percent increase over 2012. We thank Doug Pelletier and Trifecta Technologies for their hard work and dedication to making this app a success. It’s quite an honor to be recognized at the IFEA Pinnacle Awards, and we are pleased to share this honor with Doug and his entire team.”
