Trinity Hand Specialists just celebrated their 13th year of being the region's first "hand only" physician's office.

Founded in 2005 by Dr. Paul Gorman after 15 years as the hand surgeon for a large orthopaedic group in Johnson City, Trinity Hand Specialists is designed and staffed to uniquely serve the needs of patients with hand and wrist problems. The team of hand experts understands the complex network of blood vessels, nerves, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and bones of the hand and wrist and appreciates how important pain-free motion and function of the hand is to quality of life.
While based in Johnson City, TN, the specialists at Trinity Hand frequently see patients from Kingsport, Bristol, Greeneville and surrounding areas. About Paul Gorman, M.D. at Trinity Hand Specialists
Dr. Gorman graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston medical school in 1984. After completing a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, he completed a one-year hand fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Gorman is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, with a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in hand surgery. Dr. Gorman is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Tennessee Medical Association, and the Tennessee Medical Impairment Rating Registry. When not seeing patients in his office, Dr. Gorman shares his interest in all things related to the hand by helping instruct first-year students at the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine in hand and arm anatomy and serves on the medical school's admission committee.
