TRU Community Care to Host Annual Signature Fundraiser as Speakeasy at New Marriott Hotel in Westminster, CO, on October 18, 2014
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) September 19, 2014 -- Based in Boulder, CO, TRU Community Care is excited to announce PIZZAZ!, their upcoming fundraiser on October 18, 2014. PIZZAZ! will be a speakeasy style evening event and will feature live music from the roaring twenties alongside a silent and live auction. The fundraising event is intended to generate support and funding for hospice services and uninsured patients at TRU Community Care. Everyone deserves quality care throughout their lives and participation in this event will help generate much needed funds to give the less fortunate living along the Front Range the care they need when they need it most.
TRU Community Care has been serving individuals with high quality hospice services since 1976. Over the years, their name and organization have changed with the times, but their dedication to providing expert medical, emotional, and spiritual care to terminally ill people and their families has remained the same. Since their founding, TRU Community Care has been singularly dedicated to ensuring that patients at the end of their life journey make their transition with the dignity and comfort they deserve. TRU Community care also provides grief counseling to bereaved families.
As a non-profit healthcare organization, TRU Community Care depends on the generous contributions of its members and the Front Range community to support TRU’s mission to help everyone at the end of life find comfort, peace, and dignity—regardless of ability to pay. That means TRU must raise $1 million every year to bridge the gap between Medicare and insurance reimbursements and the actual cost of their care, as well as provide care to those with no insurance or means to pay. The PIZZAZ! 2014 TRU Speakeasy event is an excellent opportunity for members of the Front Range community to demonstrate their generosity and have a fun time doing it. Hospice care may seem like a somber topic, but the staff at TRU Community Care know that life is meant to be enjoyed throughout the entire experience. PIZZAZ! will be an energetic, musical evening for all participants.
Before cell phones, supercomputers, and the ever-present Internet of Things, people enjoyed their free time a little differently. In the midst of prohibition in the United States, speakeasies were the gathering places for artists, dancers, and free thinkers of every stripe. Jazz music, flapper styles, and of course all sorts of libations were part and parcel to speakeasies and participants in this year’s PIZZAZ! event will get them in spades. Attendees are encouraged to dress the part and leave their cell phones at home.
PIZZAZ! will take place starting at 6:30 PM on Saturday, October 18, at the new Marriott Westminster hotel at Church Ranch, just 30 minutes from DIA. The hotel and conference center features beautiful views of the Flatirons and has easy access to downtown Boulder and shopping at Flatiron Plaza. PIZZAZ! participants will be able to enjoy the pristine facilities and make an evening of the event. Guests interested in reserving a room for the evening should contact the hotel. Dinner choices at the PIZZAZ! event will include chicken, beef, or a vegetarian option, so there will be something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. The meal and evening’s entertainment will all be included in the ticket price.
The PIZZAZ! 2014 TRU Speakeasy event is open to the public and tickets are available for purchase on TRU Community Care’s website at http://www.trucare.org/PIZZAZ/.
The staff and volunteers at TRU Community Care look forward to welcoming new faces into their community of supporters. Providing Boulder County with hospice services, palliative care, and grief support, TRU Community Care encompasses a continuum of care for those with advanced illness.
