Gartner Names Tru Optik a Cool Vendor in Information Innovation 2014

Tru Optik, a big data startup that empowers enterprises with leading indicators of audience and consumer demand, today announced it has been selected by Gartner Inc., the world's leading information technology research and advisory company, as a 2014 “Cool Vendor in Information Innovation.”

Each year, Gartner identifies new “Cool Vendors” in key technology areas and publishes a series of research reports highlighting these pioneering vendors and their products and services. According to Gartner’s report, written by Douglas Laney, vice president of research at Gartner, Tru Optik has “realized there is another untapped source of digital media demand data that is more real time than periodic sales data, more complete than audience sampling, and more granular than either of these: BitTorrent peer-to-peer sharing activity.”
