NAPCO has hired Simon Newton to head up training and technical support. Simon will be responsible for hands-on training classes as well as answering support calls from the field. Simon brings over 25 years of experience in refinishing as a refinisher, business owner and trainer.

Simon originally went to school to be do auto body work. For the next 8 years he honed his spray painting skills in the demanding auto painting business. In 1992 Simon switched to bathtub refinishing and has been doing it ever since. He has done everything from hands-on refinishing, managing large resurfacing crews, training, estimating and trouble shooting. Simon brings this expansive knowledge base to his role at NAPCO.

NAPCO takes training very seriously. According to owner, Steve Coven, “Simon’s training approach is hands-on and real-world. Graduates of our program are very prepared to hit the ground running. They have the skills they need to do quality work from the get-go.”

Simon also provides technical support; another important service for NAPCO. Resurfacers can run into all sorts of trouble on the job.
