Two best friends test their friendship when stuck in a world of their collective imaginations
Abbygail DeCoursey releases adventure book 'Escape by Magic'
MENDON, Utah, Dec. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Escapism through wild and colorful imaginations is the central topic of Abbygail DeCoursey's recently published adventure book "Escape by Magic" (published by AuthorHouse). The book is the first installment of her upcoming series.
When she was younger, DeCoursey used her imagination as a coping mechanism to escape the real world. "Often the worlds of my imagination felt even more real than the one I was forced to walk around in," she says. This inspired her to write the book which was originally for a sixth grade class project. Several years later, she finishes the book and is ready to write the other parts of the story.
"Escape by Magic" is about two best friends who are swept into the world of their collective imaginations. They find themselves in the middle of a conflict only partially created by them, discovering the world of imagination more complex then they originally thought. Through friendship and creativity, the two ventures to escape and win over two villains.
DeCoursey aims to relay the importance of friendship through this book. Her story is also for the kids and adults who have used escapism as a coping strategy for real life dilemmas. "I think it will spark their imagination and get them really excited about the what-ifs of their stories," DeCoursey says.
