Callens Insurance Group, a locally owned and managed full service insurance firm in Tyler, TX, introduces a new charity campaign as part of its established community involvement program. Toys for Tots is a nationally revered organization which supplies toys and books to over 7 million children in the U.S. every year. Since the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official activity of the U.S. Martine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve in 1995, their objective has been to help less fortunate children throughout the country to experience the joy of Christmas. Believing children to be our nation’s most valuable resource, they are committed to bringing a message of hope which will encourage disadvantaged children to become responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Toys for Tots works for 3 months every fall to unite communities with toy collection and distribution campaigns.

The agency has set a fundraising goal of $500, and hopes to overflow the toy collection boxes at their offices, as well. The campaign will be promoted over the course of the next 60 days through the agency’s social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through their monthly magazine, delivered to thousands of households in the greater Tyler area.
