“The Principles of Christian Marriage: A Journey of Faith”: an encouraging opportunity for finding a deeper understanding of God’s word regarding the marital vow. “The Principles of Christian Marriage: A Journey of Faith” is the creation of published author Uchechukwu Udensi, a dedicated husband and father who was born and raised in Nigeria.

Udensi shares, “The Principles of Christian Marriage was written to help Christians navigate marital relationships by following the principles laid out by God from when the man starts seeking a wife to when he is married, to God’s plan regarding divorce. God instituted marriage, and he alone can set out how it should be conducted. Most people, including Christians, don’t realize the enormity and sacredness of the marital life and that marriage is a covenant relationship (Malachi 2:14 KJV). One thing established in this book is that marriage is a physical representation of the spiritual relationship a Christian has with Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:32 KJV), and because of this ignorance, Satan has corrupted the sanctity of marriage with the worldly view and concept.

“This book also shares briefly that the purpose of marriage is first for companionship before procreation or fruitfulness. That’s why a Christian should first have a personal relationship with God before he can be fruitful in the things pertaining to God. Finding a wife is conceived and birthed in the place of prayer, as we see in Abraham’s servant and God making a deep sleep come upon Adam.

“The husband’s authority in marriage is a representative responsibility, and this places the fruitfulness of the marriage on the man. He is the responsible authority in the marriage; that’s why when Adam disobeyed God in the garden of Eden and shifted the responsibility to his wife, Eve, God told Adam, ‘Because thou hast you hearkened unto the voice of thy wife’ (Genesis 3:17 KJV). Man has since been abdicating the authority God placed on him in the home to the woman.

“One will also see that God did not establish nor approve divorce, so Christians ought not to divorce (1 Corinthians 7).”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Uchechukwu Udensi’s new book is a compelling installment to the author’s “The Watchman Series.”

Udensi shares in hopes of offering readers a straightforward resource for expanding their understanding of key scripture and the marital covenant.
