Union Home Mortgage Gives Back to the Community
Strongsville, OH (PRWEB) September 30, 2014 -- Union Home Mortgage Corp. (UHM) is branching out and taking on more philanthropic ventures throughout their community. Since their start in 1970, UHM has become a national, full-service mortgage banking company that works with home buyers to help them meet their home purchasing needs.
With corporate headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio, UHM has made a habit of getting involved in both their local and national communities. In summer of 2014, UHM was a Papa Quacker sponsor for the yearly Strongsville Duck Race. This race was organized by the Rotary Club of Strongsville. For this event, residents and organizations were invited to adopt a rubber duck. The proceeds from this event and the money raised went to local endeavors aimed at enriching the Strongsville community. With sponsors, like UHM, these events are able to allocate resources for fundraising and enhanced community involvement.
In mid-June, the leadership staff at UHM attended the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Father of Year Awards ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio. Bill Cosgrove, CEO of UHM, also made a donation on behalf of the company to show his support for area fathers who were nominated for this award and for the ADA. This award is not only designed to recognize men who have made family a priority in their lives, it’s also an opportunity for the ADA raise funds to stop diabetes.
“This was a great way to give back to the community,” Cosgrove said. “As a father and professional, I wanted to show my support and respect for those who work to maintain a strong family life, while also balancing career with community involvement.”
“These men deserve this recognition and the ADA is a great organization, working to do good things for those who suffer from diabetes,” he added.
UHM also supports the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in Cleveland, Ohio. They were one of the yearly gala sponsors and made a charitable donation while at the event in September.
The HRC is the largest civil rights organization that works to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans in the workplace. Their yearly gala is one of the largest events for this national organization.
Since UHM has an established reputation of working with individual homeowners to reach their needs, it’s no surprise that this company stays active in their community as well. UHM and its leaders believe it’s important to give back and support organizations and individuals that build upon the communities their customers live in.
