Save Ukraine Now Alleviates Ukraine Humanitarian Catastrophe Through U.S. Appeal
Tucker, GA (PRWEB) June 02, 2015 -- Save Ukraine Now (http://www.saveukrainenow.org), a charitable organization formed to alleviate Ukraine’s humanitarian catastrophe, today announced widespread success in its campaign to fill shipping containers with emergency supplies. The boost comes after more than 1,000 people attended campaign kickoff events in Detroit and Chicago.
In addition to the public response, General (ret.) Wesley K. Clark, former Supreme Commander of NATO and Board Chairman, conducted comprehensive strategic briefings at the Detroit Economic Club and Northwestern University in Chicago.
Dr. Kellner said, “We are receiving major financial commitments from all types of individuals and organizations, and our program to fill shipping containers is spreading rapidly across the nation. The Talmud says, ‘He who saves a life saves the world entire,’ and indeed, we are making a difference one individual at a time.”
Dr. Kellner praised the mayor of Warren, Michigan, James Fouts, as an example of the positive response. Mr. Fouts declared a city-wide initiative to support the campaign and included promotional fliers in residential water bills. He also placed a drop box on city property and offered storage space for the donations.
Save Ukraine Now has created a campaign portal online at http://www.saveukrainenow.org/ukraine-survival.html with documents to support participating organizations. The portal provides a complete campaign handbook including backup to create publicity for local groups.
