The McDonald Agency, a Florida-based firm that provides insurance and financial planning services to communities in and around the Marion County region, is embarking on a cooperative charity venture with local nonprofit Interfaith Emergency Services.

Since 1983, Interfaith Emergency Services has built a network of outreach centers and support facilities throughout the Ocala area to provide emergency assistance to families that need assistance. Many of these families have fallen between the cracks of existing social service programs, and require basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter.

“This holiday season, we’re asking everyone in our community to join our firm and Interfaith Emergency Services in a group effort to help provide for local families in need,” says Kevin McDonald acting manager and owner of the McDonald Agency.

To gather and galvanize support from the surrounding region, McDonald and his team are reaching out to nearby families and civic leaders over social media and email channels in an effort to publicize the Interfaith Services charity drive. The McDonald team will also be releasing an article outlining the charity event which will soon be published in the firm’s online magazine “Our Hometown”:

Nearly half a dozen local nonprofits and charitable causes in the Ocala region have enjoyed the support of the McDonald Agency in 2016. The McDonald team is an active participant in the “Agents of Change” charity support initiative, and plans to continue assisting local charities on a bimonthly basis.

Everyone who would like to provide support to Interfaith Emergency Services during this ongoing charity drive is personally invited by the McDonald Agency team to visit the following page and help make a positive impact: Past charitable events sponsored by the McDonald Agency team are detailed on the firm’s Community Causes page:
