Woodbridge Insurance Services and Project Mend-A-House Announce Cooperative Charity Event to Benefit Low-Income Families
Woodbridge, VA (PRWEB) December 21, 2016 -- Woodbridge Insurance Services, a Virginia-based agency that provides insurance services and financial planning assistance from offices headquartered in Prince William County, is joining Project Mend-A-House in a charity drive to help improve home conditions for low income families in the region.
For a generation, Project Mend-A-House has worked to improve housing conditions for low-income families, disabled residents, and seniors in the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. With the mission of improving outcomes for individuals of all backgrounds, PMAH offers low or no-cost repairs to critical housing facilities for qualifying families.
“Working with Project Mend-A-House is an excellent way to help the families in our community this holiday season, and we hope everyone will join us by showing their support,” says Joseph Cotten, owner and president of Woodbridge Insurance Services.
Efforts are already underway by Cotten and his team to rally support for the charity event by linking up with local families, civic leaders, and business owners over social media channels and an email update bulletin. Future efforts to improve exposure for the event are planned, including a headline article in “Our Hometown,” a monthly online digest produced by Woodbridge Insurance Services: http://www.woodbridgeins.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
For the last few months, Cotten and the Woodbridge team have worked with several other notable charitable causes in the northern Virginia region. As active members of the “Agents of Change” charity support network, the Woodbridge Insurance team plans to continue selecting and assisting a new nonprofit in the area bimonthly.
