Brainchild of University Cancer & Blood Center to meet community's need for greater access to primary care
ATHENS, Ga., Oct. 19, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- University Cancer & Blood Center (UCBC), a leading oncology and hematology practice for Northeast Georgia, is recognizing the community's need for greater access to primary care and family medicine by launching University Health Alliance (UHA), a comprehensive practice serving greater Athens.
University Health Alliance offers two convenient locations, one on North Chase Street and another on Old Jefferson Road. UHA provides a full suite of primary care services, from pediatrics and adult medicine, to wellness check-ups and preventative services, to acute and chronic care.

Dr. G. Steven Chesser - Since graduating from the Medical College of Georgia in 1993, Dr. Chesser has practiced internal medicine in both the hospital and private practice settings. He's active in an array of professional organizations, including the Coalition of Athens Area Physicians.
Dr. Samuel J. Dolezal - In 2022, Dr. Dolezal was named one of Minneapolis and St. Paul's Top Doctors: Rising Stars. During over a decade as a research assistant and graduate research assistant at UGA, he also studied, published, and presented extensively on the detection and glycobiology of cancer cells.
Dr. Ling Li - With more than 26 years of experience in family medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, nephrology, and urology, Dr. Li is also a respected scholar in mammalian genetics who spent six years as a research associate at the world-renowned Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
