Upland Personal Training Center, Fit Body Boot Camp, Challenges the Community to Get Fit for a Cause by Launching 1,000 Pound Meltdown Challenge
Upland, CA (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- Today the Upland personal training center known as Fit Body Boot Camp announced the launch of its 1,000 Pound Meltdown Challenge in order fight rising obesity statistics and to raise funds for the non-profit organization, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The goal of Fit Body Boot Camp Upland’s 1,000 Pound Meltdown Challenge is to bring the community and surrounding cities together and challenge them to lose 1,000 pounds in 28 days by offering discounted fitness boot camp sessions as well as nutritional support, all while raising funds for breast cancer awareness and research.
Starting today and ending Nov. 29th at its 1334 W 9th St Upland, CA 91786 location, Fit Body Boot Camp Upland’s 1,000 Pound Meltdown is open to anyone who wants to lose weight, tone up, and support a great cause. The fee to participate in the 28 day challenge is $49 and a portion of the proceeds are going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, whose mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by funding innovative clinical research.
Owner and operator of the Upland boot camp, Leandro Cabico, felt that it was important to help those in his community get a jump start at losing weight and getting in great shape by launching a fun fitness challenge that anyone can participate in.
He explains, “My goal with launching the 1,000 lb Meltdown Challenge is to reach out and help as many people as possible by fighting the obesity rising rates that plague our country, and I know that by starting in my city and surrounding cities I will be doing my part by helping to educate, and show people how to live a happier, better, and more fulfilling life.”
Cabico, who has been a personal trainer for over 10 years, has helped over 1,000 people in the year and four months of his boot camp being open. His clients have melted away a total of 4,800 pounds and is confident that participants who join the challenge will meet and exceed the 1,000 pound goal.
