SAN RAFAEL, Calif., May 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- US Sports Camps, the official provider of Nike Sports Camps, is excited to partner with Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT) to launch the Nike College Showcase Camp at the 1757 Golf Club in Virginia, a unique two-day opportunity for girls to receive one-on-one golf instruction from collegiate-level coaches—and valuable insight on how to navigate the college recruiting process.
Occurring July 11–12, the Nike College Showcase Camp with the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour will immediately follow the PKBGT Lansdowne Resort Girls Classic tournament. The showcase camp opens with a dinner, meet-and-greet with college coaches, and a college discussion session. On the second day, attendees receive morning instruction and skills evaluation before playing 18 holes of competitive golf, with coaches on the course assessing players' games. Campers can expect to receive high-level, competition-grade instruction from this impressive corps of coaches.
"The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour is delighted to partner with US Sports Camps to provide this dynamic opportunity for aspiring female collegiate golfers to learn what it takes to play at the next level," says tour director Mike Parker. "This partnership brings promising players to northern Virginia, where they can play in a competitive national tournament and benefit from expert evaluation from some of the best collegiate coaches in the country."
"This camp is a great chance for student-athletes to develop and build their game—with help from elite coaches at some of the nation's most renowned collegiate programs," says Danny Dolan, Vice President of Golf Operations and Growth at Nike Sports Camps. "Our partnership with PKBGT is an ideal platform for female players to receive focused instruction and showcase their talent in a supportive and engaging environment."
The showcase camp will take place at the beautiful and award-winning 1757 Golf Club in northern Virginia, just minutes away from the PKBGT tournament site. Coaches are also invited to attend the Lansdowne Resort Girls Classic prior to the Nike College Showcase Camp, allowing tournament players the chance to demonstrate their technical and strategic game-playing skills, and making this the ultimate summer program for aspiring college golf athletes. Of note, players are not required to attend the Lansdowne Resort Girls Classic to participate in the Nike College Showcase Camp.
