We provide excellent teaching in the basic fundamentals of the game. Anyone who has experienced the camp, has gone home with the knowledge to take their game to the next level.

Since 1980, these all girls camps have been synonymous with hard work, great fun, and expert instruction. Their multi-week line-up includes both overnight shooting and fundamental skills basketball camps.

What sets these camps apart from the others is the structure and curriculum that Doug Bruno, DePaul Women’s Basketball Head Coach, has developed over 46 years in the industry. His coaching experience ranges from youth to college athletes to Olympians, making Coach Bruno a true teacher of the game. He will be co-directing this summer with Coach Beth “Spider” Roti who has been with Doug Bruno Basketball Camps for over 30 years. Coach Spider was a standout during her time playing at DePaul and has also coached at the collegiate level.

During each camp session campers can expect to play nine hours of basketball each day. They will watch demonstrations, line up for targeted drills, receive individual attention from their coaches, and participate in competitions.

When asked about her daughter’s experience, one parent said, “This is Alysia's third year attending this camp and it truly is the highlight of her summer. She looks forward to this camp all year! Coach Doug Bruno and staff have developed an excellent program for young girls to be inspired to be the best basketball player they can be. Alysia always leaves this camp inspired and excited for her next season of basketball to start so she can use all of the skills she learned while at camp.”

Campers at Doug Bruno Girls Basketball Camp are challenged to excel in all areas of their life. The lectures at camp go beyond shooting philosophies and fundamental skills. Coach Bruno believes in teaching girls ages 7-18 to be the best basketball player they can be but also about the importance of working hard academically and being helpful and respectful to the adults in their life.

"The Doug Bruno Basketball Camp is a staple for every Midwest female basketball player,” says Spider, co-director of Doug Bruno Girls Basketball Camps. “We have players come from all over, including overseas players, looking to improve their ball skills. We provide excellent teaching in the basic fundamentals of the game. Anyone who has experienced the camp, has gone home with the knowledge to take their game to the next level. We strive to be the best camp teachers of basketball because we take our love for the game seriously.”

Camps are open to serious athletes, ages 7-18, looking for the best basketball instruction in the Chicago area.
