Expert Heavy Equipment Makes $12,000 Cash Value Donation to the Freedom House in Freeport, TX
League City, Texas (PRWEB) August 13, 2014 -- The Bible scripture 2 Corinthians 9: 7 says, “God loves a cheerful giver” and thanks to the $12,000 cash value donation that Expert Heavy Equipment (EHE) has given The Freedom House, the organization will aid in continuing the vision of Pastors Ernie and Jocelyn Hutchings.
“I feel that our company has truly been blessed as a result of our hard work, self-discipline, leadership and our faith,” said Milissa Wise, director of operations for EHE and who is also a United States Marine Veteran. “Each year we try to identify a church or a particular family that we can make a considerable donation too. This year we chose The Freedom House.”
The Freedom House, according to Wise, is a Christ-centered Sanctuary of Hope founded in 2007 by Pastor Ernie and Jocelyn Hutchings.
“Pastor Ernie is not your average Pastor,” Wise said, before adding, “According to Ernie's testimony, in 2007 he was saved by God from a lifestyle of organized crime and a 25-year-long drug addiction. The Lord called him to help people struggling with addictions in 2007 and told him to start The Freedom House.
In January of 2008, Ernie started pastoring those who were staying at The Freedom House, and that's how the church was born.
In September, 2012, The Freedom House was able to by its own facility, an 18,000 square-foot building on a city block and a half located at 800 N Ave F, Freeport, Texas.
Wise pointed out that today The Freedom House “is being used by God in an amazing way to be a blessing to the community and beyond in Freeport Texas. They continue to help teach the people with addictions how to walk in freedom through biblical truths about freedom in Christ.”
"They have a soup kitchen where they feed anyone in need of a hot meal every Friday." Wise continued. "They have what's called a blessing room where people can pick out clothes and household items that they may need from 11am to 1pm on Friday's. They have a food pantry that's opened everyday for anyone in need. And they accomplish all of this based solely on offerings and donations."
As to the specific reason why EHE, chose this organization, Wise stressed that EHE shares the same philosophy as The Freedom House.
