Ushtaang Productions Releases the Music Video for ‘From the End of Heaven’ by Gods of Eden
College Station, TX (PRWEB) January 13, 2014 -- Ushtaang Productions released the official music video for the track ‘From the End of Heaven’ by Gods of Eden. ‘From the End of Heaven’ was produced by Ushtaang Productions, filmed in the city of College Station Texas and directed by Ganesh Rao. The music video can be viewed on Ushtaang Productions’ website, YouTube channel, and on Vimeo.
‘From the End of Heaven’ is the title track from the new album by Gods of Eden. Gods of Eden is an Australian based technical progressive metal band represented by Welkin Entertainment in Sydney. The new album, which is scheduled for release this March, is currently being mastered by music producer Jens Bogren, founder and head of Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. The Australian metal band spent their summer of 2013 in Germany promoting the new album and there is talk about a larger European tour after the album's release.
Gods of Eden approached Ganesh Rao, an imaginative young artist and director, to direct the music video because of his creative talents. In 2012 while pursuing his MFA at Texas A&M University, Rao’s directorial debut ‘Empyrean’ went to receive a screening at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin Texas. Rao based his vision for the cinematic music video in the investigation of human perception and its relationship to mythology and culture. The music video features a unique concept inspired by ancient mythology and uses computer generated effects to deliver a veiled moment where a ritual is performed by a god-like being. Ruben Gonzales, the video’s producer, commented, “The video’s visuals match the style of the music perfectly.” Rao, who is active in the art community, recently announced the music video ‘From the End of Heaven’ will be screened in an art exhibition at SEAD Gallery in Bryan Texas this month.
Ushtaang Productions needed one month of pre-production to organize the music video shoot and filming was done over the course of 2 days. The production offered Ushtaang Productions another opportunity to demonstrate some of the production resources, capabilities, and cost efficiency of producing in Texas. Gonzales stated, “There have been many articles in the past year on the subject of productions looking to areas other than California or New York because of the cost benefits, talent and ease of regulations, Ushtaang Productions can produce those benefits”. During the filming, the city of College Station, home of Texas A&M University, enthusiastically welcomed the production to the area. Local businesses like Bed Bath and Beyond, Chipotle, and Sully’s Bar and Grill were some of those involved in the support of the filming. “I was very pleased to receive such positive support from the community,” commented Gonzales.
