Universal Technical Resource Services Named Prime Contractor on U.S. Army RS3 Contract
Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) May 18, 2017 -- Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) was awarded a prime contract on the U.S. Army Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) contract, according to the Department of Defense (DOD). The RS3 contract has a $37.4 billion ceiling, with an expiration date of May 14, 2022.
“This contract vehicle puts UTRS in an elite group of prime contractors. It not only supports our ability to continue to serve our existing clients, but also provides opportunity to expand our reach in the government marketplace,” said David Zalcmann, Chief Financial Officer.
Since 1985, UTRS has provided a wide range of support to the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and commercial industries.
RS3 is a multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that encompasses the command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) needs of the U.S. Army. The contract offers opportunities for support services in research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E); logistics; acquisition and strategic planning; and education and training. These services may also be provided to support other DOD and federal agencies.
