Vajra Sol Yoga Adventures Announces the Addition of All-levels SUP Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica
Santa Teresa, Costa Rica (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- Vajra Sol Yoga Adventures is excited to announce stand up paddle board (SUP) yoga as an addition to its retreats in the alluring, idyllic beach town of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. With yoga participation still on the rise and a growing interest in experiencing yoga in nature, including a SUP yoga option has been a natural progression for Vajra Sol. In 2013, the Outdoor Industry Association reported that SUP had the most first-time participants of any outdoor sporting activity in the United States that year. Vajra Sol has even seen an increased demand for the inclusion of SUPing, in addition to surfing, among retreat participants. Remaining open retreat dates for 2014 are June 22 - 28, August 3 - 9, Nov 9 - 15, Nov 30 - Dec 6.
Vajra Sol retreats are open to all levels and previous SUP, surf, and yoga experience are not required. Retreat participants will be taught the basics of SUP on inland waterways before venturing out into the ocean. SUP yoga is best practiced on calm waters. After a basic SUP lesson, Sandra Tedeschi, owner of Vajra Sol and a registered yoga teacher, introduces the group to beginning yoga poses on the board. Experienced students have the option to test their balance with more challenging poses such as headstands. All SUP yoga sessions include a leisurely paddle that allows participants to explore the local landscape and wildlife.
Vajra Sol's retreats are hosted at an upscale beachfront hotel in Santa Teresa. Retreat participants stay in beautiful bungalows and villas, just steps from the Pacific Ocean. Retreats run six-nights and include organic, healthy, gourmet meals. Vajra Sol is the most established, longest running yoga retreat operator in Costa Rica, known for welcoming its guest to heal, transform, and renew, before they return to the real world.
Vajra Sol Yoga Adventures was founded in 2005 by Sandra Tedeschi. Tedeschi has been practicing yoga for more than fifteen years and is a registered yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance. Before settling in Costa Rica, she worked for several years in South Asia, Africa, and U.S. cities in the field of humanitarian aid. Through her experience working in often fast-paced and high-pressure work environments, she learned that a regular yoga practice is a vital component for people to maintain balance in their daily living.
