Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its 29th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, and Houston-based Valencia Group once again topped the charts with their urban hotel portfolio. Hotel Sorella CITYCENTRE (score: 92.62/100) in Houston, TX, Hotel Valencia Santana Row (score: 96.52/100) in San Jose, CA and Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza (score: 94.43/100) in Kansas City, MO earned the #1 spots in their respective cities, while Hotel Valencia Riverwalk (score: 95.14/100) ranked #3 in San Antonio, TX. The four properties also placed among the top 10 hotels in their regions with Hotel Valencia Riverwalk and Hotel Sorella CITYCENTRE #6 and #8 in Texas, Hotel Valencia Santana Row #2 in Northern California and Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza #4 in the Midwest.
Over 300,000 dedicated readers – nearly twice as many as last year – cast votes for 7,394 hotels, 606 cities, 500 cruise ships and 236 islands, in an average survey time of 8.4 minutes. The result? The 1,402 best travel experiences in the world.
