Leading Radiologist Offers Insights on Interventional & Vascular Radiology

Dr. Linda Hughes, a leading South Florida interventional and vascular radiologist, will be featured on a cutting-edge medicine and science show airing throughout July on BECON Television (WBEC-TV).

Dr. Hughes is one of the foremost authorities on cutting-edge interventional and vascular radiology procedures in South Florida having helped further develop the Vascular and Interventional Radiology program for Broward Health, and coauthoring a number of publications in cardiovascular and interventional radiology.

The show, titled “C.U.R.E. Symposium”, is hosted by Anita Finley who speaks with Dr. Hughes as well as other leading South Florida doctors and medical experts to discuss the latest innovations and technologies in medical research, medicine and science.

In Dr. Hughes’ segment, “Big Scars, Long Recuperation Have Changed with Interventional Radiology”, she discusses the latest developments in minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures. Dr. Hughes is joined by several other distinguished doctors and healthcare experts who also share cutting-edge initiatives and unravel mysteries, seeking cures and medical innovations.

You can see Dr. Hughes’ segment air locally in South Florida every Saturday and Sunday throughout July from 9am-10am EST on BECON TV (WBEC-TV) on channel 63 on AT&T U-verse, Direct TV and DISH, and channel 19 on Comcast.

About Dr. Linda Hughes

Dr. Hughes joined North Broward Radiologists to develop the Vascular and Interventional Radiology program at Imperial Point Medical Center for Broward Health. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding the most cutting-edge technologies. She has expertise in a number of areas including uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, angioplasty, stent placement, and thrombolysis for peripheral vascular disease, hemodialysis access management, TIPSS (transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt), endovenous vein laser treatment, vertebroplasty and a number of interventional oncology procedures such as biopsy, port placement, chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation. She is a member of a number of local and national societies, including the Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society, and is a past President of the South Florida Vascular and Interventional Radiology Society.
