Water and wastewater engineers have long trusted BERMAD hydraulic control valves and air relief valves. Now available through VBT, engineers will get the same great product, assembled in the U.S. and backed by superior service and support.

Victaulic Bermad Technologies (VBT) will exhibit at WEFTEC 2015, marking the company’s first public, independent event. The company, a joint venture between BERMAD and Victaulic, will exhibit its water and wastewater valve offering at booth 4589.

VBT was established in 2015 to offer world-class control valve technology, engineering leadership and a broad distribution network. The company leverages the strengths of two global, quality-focused companies: BERMAD’s line of high-performance control valves and application engineering leadership, and Victaulic’s sales, distribution and customer service excellence.

VBT is based in Houston, Texas, where it has distribution, warehouse, production assembly, testing and office facilities. The company serves the municipal water and wastewater, commercial fire protection, building services, power, oil and gas, and petrochemical industries. Its automatic control valves are a vital component in municipal water systems.

“WEFTEC was a logical event at which to debut VBT,” said Nadav Yakir, CEO of VBT. “Water and wastewater engineers have long trusted BERMAD hydraulic control valves and air relief valves. Now available through VBT, engineers will get the same great product, assembled in the U.S. and backed by superior service and support.”

On display in the VBT booth at WEFTEC will be the Model C50 Sewage and Wastewater Combination Air Valve, now offered in stainless steel and composite materials. The valve evacuates air during pipeline filling, allows efficient release of air and gas pockets from pressurized pipes, and enables large volume air intake in the event of network draining. With its advanced aerodynamic design and double orifice, the valve provides excellent protection against air and gas accumulation and vacuum formation with improved sealing under low-pressure conditions. The valve is ideal for sewage and wastewater pump stations, pipelines and treatment plants.
