VehicleHistory.com to Provide Regular Updates on Used Car Scams
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- VehicleHistory.com is launching an initiative to keep consumers up to date on new types of used car scams, the company announced yesterday.
“The sad truth is that there are a lot of people who want to rip off used car buyers,” a VehicleHistory.com spokesman said. “And it seems like new scams are being thought up nearly every day. We feel like it is our obligation to do everything we can to educate people so they don't get ripped off.”
VehicleHistory.com now has a team dedicated to researching new types of used car scams, he said.
“Every time they discover a new type of used car scam, they will figure out what the red flags are, how the scam works, and how to avoid it,” he said. “Then they will make their findings available to our customers.”
VehicleHistory.com will post the information on the members' area of their website, he said, before publishing them on their social media channels and blog.
“We created VehicleHistory.com to help prevent people from getting ripped off when buying a used car,” he said. “This is the next step in that direction. We want to do anything and everything we can to protect people.”
The anti-scam initiative will be an ongoing effort, he said.
“We also want to let people know that if they hear of a new type of scam, they can call us up and we will put it up on the site after we've researched it,” the VehicleHistory.com spokesman said. “We are here to listen and to help.”
