Welcoming approximately 100 new and existing ImageSoft customers, some as nearby as Kalamazoo and others as distant as the Virgin Islands, Velocity 2019 presented attendees with the opportunity to fine tune OnBase admin skills, network, and attend industry-specific presentations that illustrated the opportunities of digital transformation in justice communities, government sectors, insurance organizations and beyond.

Hosted at the Novi Suburban Showplace Collection in Southeast Michigan, the two-day event kicked off on Tuesday, May 21 with all-day OnBase admin training sessions. Divided into intermediate and advanced training, the 30 attending admins were able to choose the hands-on class that met their current skillset while familiarizing them with new functionalities that would best compliment their every-day user roles. A few registered customers opted for spending Tuesday driving momentum across the course during a round of golf and networking with ImageSoft account executives at The Inn at St. Johns. Whether they were in class or at par, customers and ImageSoft representatives were invited to wrap up day one at the Suburban Showplace Collection for complimentary cocktails, self-serve stations of Mexican fare, Mediterranean-Greek style dishes and barbecue, and, of course, networking.

The tone for Wednesday, May 22 was set with vibrant teal lanyards, a continental breakfast and an opening statement by ImageSoft CEO Dave Hawkins who, channeling universally admired innovator Steve Jobs, wore a black mock turtle-neck sweater, casual blue jeans and white New Balance sneakers while energizing the room with iconic quotes encouraging discipline, perseverance, and the willingness to try.

“I wanted to draw on the wisdom of a universally admired master innovator to convey a few key principles of success: the willingness to try crazy ideas, the discipline to focus and the need to persevere,” said ImageSoft CEO Dave Hawkins. “These traits can make or break IT projects.”

Attendees spent the rest of the day shuffling between self-selected presentations and panel discussions, all organized by industry-specific tracks for courts, prosecution, government, and insurance. Presented by a mix of successfully paperless customers, topics included CJIS Compliance, multi-media evidence management, applicant tracking for human resources, leadership during digital transformation and leveraging OnBase for claims and/or records management. In between tracks, attendees could stop by and share a few words at ImageSoft’s Paperless Productivity Podcast station, chat with ImageSoft’s Solution Health Check Specialist, visit vendor tables, or refuel at the snack bar.

Photos, quotes and charismatic commentary from both days were documented and can still be found on Twitter using #Velocity2019 or ImageSoft’s Corporate LinkedIn page.
