Ventas Central Agree with Duke of York’s Controversial Statement about British Business Etiquette

Despite the recent claims that brand Britain is increasing in popularity overseas, The Duke of York announced at a recent event that British businesses are holding themselves back by being too polite. Ventas Central agrees there is room for greater competitiveness in business.

Last week, the Duke of York made a fairly controversial statement when speaking to BBC 5 Live’s Wake up Money programme which got under the skin of many UK small business owners. The Duke of York claimed that a number of UK based businesses lacked the drive and ambition to take their products overseas and compete in the lucrative Chinese market. Whilst speaking on the programme, Prince Andrew did praise the UK for their large amount of economic activity in the US market, however admitted that he felt that most British business owners are too polite to push for dominance in the Chinese market and that they must be brasher in the future.
