Vera Chvany Hussey-Forbes’ New Memoir Inspires Readers to Reach for the Stars
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) March 07, 2017 -- In her compelling new memoir, “My Life, Connected: A Memoir” (published by iUniverse), Vera Chvany Hussey-Forbes shares how she overcame years of abuse and went on to lead an exciting life surrounded by musicians, murderers, mobsters and more.
Born in Passaic, N.J., Hussey-Forbes enjoyed a carefree life in pre-WWII Berlin until she was 6 years old. After her parents divorced, she returned to the United States, where her life took a dark turn. She candidly describes the severe, debilitating emotional abuse she suffered at the hands of her mother and writes about how she was made to feel ugly, untalented and unlovable. Things didn’t improve when Hussey-Forbes married her first husband, who continued the cycle of abuse and refused to appreciate her for who she was.
Never one to give up, Hussey-Forbes vowed to overcome the damaging effects of years of abuse and surrounded herself with a strong support system. She was determined to become the best at everything she had to offer and channeled her energy into painting, singing, songwriting, acting and raising three sons.
Honest and unabashed, “My Life, Connected” recounts the true story of an incredible woman who moved past painful experiences to embrace all that life had to offer. Filled with humor, insight and intrigue, this memoir serves as a welcome reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
