On Friday, March 21, the Farmer Veteran Coalition will be hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Davis headquarters and to commemorate the growth and future of their service to military veterans in agriculture.

The ceremony will be held from 2-5 p.m. at 4614 2nd St. Davis, CA 95618.

The Farmer Veteran Coalition works with military veterans of all eras and branches, as well as their families, to support those returning to and beginning their careers in farming. They help promote a smooth transition from military service to a life on the farm in agriculture.

The Farmer Veteran Coalition’s new Davis offices will continue to support veterans in the agricultural community. There are a number of employment opportunities available throughout the agricultural community, and the Farmer Veteran Coalition helps returning veterans track these jobs down and connects them with other outlets that can help. They also promote a sense of community, connecting recent veterans with others and helping to bond farmers that would otherwise be isolated by their rural surroundings.

Support the efforts of the Farmer Veteran Coalition by attending the grand opening on Friday March 21. Other ways to help and more information can be found online at To learn more about the grand opening, email Julie(at)farmvetco(dot)org.
