Veterans and First Responders Invited to Recognition Ceremony Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 pm at The Greene
DAYTON, Ohio (PRWEB) August 21, 2019 -- Calling all Veterans and First Responders in the Dayton area. You’re invited to Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care’s Veterans and First Responders Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 pm at The Greene Town Center. Hundreds of Dayton area residents representing all branches of the military and law enforcement are expected to attend.
Each honoree will be presented with a certificate, an American flag, a lapel pin, an embroidered star from a flag retired from service and a rose. Presenting the colors will be Beavercreek High School’s Jr. ROTC. The Kettering Civic Band and the Dayton Philharmonic Vocal Ensemble will perform and US Marine Corps Reserves Veteran Chris Bussler will provide inspiring keynote comments.
“September 11th is a date we picked a long time ago for our community wide veterans recognition program,” said Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care Chaplain Chad Vickers, who will be the event emcee. “But recognizing first responders and veterans has become even more timely in our community, considering what Dayton endured just weeks ago when a mass murderer gunned down and killed nine individuals and wounded many others.”
The Greene Town Center’s Center Courtyard is where the recognition ceremony will take place. “We are delighted to host this community wide veterans and first responders’ recognition event, said Steve Willshaw, The Greene Town Center’s general manager. “We are expecting a very large crowd and we couldn’t be happier. It’s going to be a very memorable patriotic evening.”
