Vi® Named One of the 2018 Best Workplaces for Aging Services by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE
All of Vi's communities and corporate office have received the Great Place to Work certification
CHICAGO, Sept. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE have honored Vi® as one of the 2018 Best Workplaces for Aging Services. All of Vi's communities and Corporate Office have earned the Great Place to Work certification.
Vi's ranking is based on anonymous survey feedback representing more than 162,000 employees working in senior housing and care as well as at-home care (including hospice) in the United States. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members' experiences on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees' feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. Vi took the #10 spot on the list.
"I am very proud that 93 percent of Vi employees participated in the survey and every one of our communities and Corporate Office were certified as a Great Place to Work," said Randy Richardson, President, Vi. "We know that well-trained and engaged employees are drivers of our high levels of resident satisfaction and quality care. Our employees are committed to our residents, and we are committed to providing our team members meaningful work, and engaging culture, and opportunities to learn and grow, for all employees," he added.
Recognized for the Company's commitment to employee growth and development, besides inclusion on FORTUNE's list of Best Workplaces for Aging Services, Vi has been the recipient of Chief Learning Officer magazine's LearningElite award for eight years running. Just last month, Vi also ranked #1 among the E-Learning! magazine's Learning 100 list.
Vi offers employees a wide range of training and development programs including tuition reimbursement, free language training, an array of company-paid certification programs, robust leadership development programs as well as access to Vi's online university, E-Campus.
"The aging services industry is rapidly growing and with aging Baby Boomers, consumer preferences are changing even more dramatically. Companies need to adapt their organizations and offerings to remain competitive," said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. "Organizations like Vi stand out from the crowd, intentionally growing their businesses by creating great places to work."
The Best Workplaces for Aging Services is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations.
