Victor A. Rotolo named a member of the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers for 2014

In late February 2014, Victor A. Rotolo was honored to accept membership in the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers for the second consecutive year. Membership to this prestigious group is by invitation only and subject to candidates meeting stringent criteria. Each year, the National Trial Lawyers organization reviews its membership to ensure it is limited to only the leading trial lawyers from each state or region in the U.S.
Nominees for the Top 100 Trial Lawyers are submitted by the National Trial Lawyers Executive Committee members, other leading trial lawyers and current honorees. Candidates are then judged based on their reputation among members of the judiciary, peers and the general public; settlements or verdicts to their credit; ratings and rankings bestowed upon them by other national evaluation services; and membership and leadership roles within state and national legal organizations.
Mr. Rotolo is a well-recognized and respected attorney who specializes in the areas of civil litigation, family law and criminal defense. He began his career in the legal system as a police officer in Elizabeth, N.J., after graduating the Union County Police Academy, Class of 1978, of which he was Valedictorian. Pursuing his goal of a career in the justice system, Mr. Rotolo returned to school where he earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1982. Just a few short years later, Mr. Rotolo opened his own law firm in Lebanon, N.J., where he has been practicing since 1987.
Victor Rotolo is one of only 2% of all New Jersey trial lawyers to receive certification by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. Additionally, he has served as both Chair and Vice Chair of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s District XIII Ethics Committee, of which he was a member from 2009 to 2011. Among Mr. Rotolo’s affiliations are his memberships in the Bar Associations of New Jersey and Hunterdon County, the New Jersey Defense Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Mr. Rotolo has received an “AV” Preeminent rating from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, which is granted only to attorneys who exhibit the highest level of professional excellence, and a rating of “superb” from Avvo based on having received a score of 10 out of 10 on his evaluation. He has been named to the American Society of Legal Advocates’ Top 100 Litigation Lawyers’ list for the past two consecutive years and the New Jersey Super Lawyers list for nine years running. Last June, he was named among New Jersey’s Top Rated Lawyers for 2013.
This most recent distinction marks the second time Mr. Rotolo has been included among the national list of Top 100 Trial Lawyers. In response to this latest accolade, Mr. Rotolo stated, “It has always been my personal goal to help others in the pursuit of their rights within our judicial system.
