Victor Sparozic’s new novel gives readers view of 1960s mob life
PALM BAY, Fla. (PRWEB) January 26, 2015 -- Tracing the exploits of a group of mobsters in the 1960s, the new historical fiction “The Boys of Brooklyn” (published by Archway Publishing) by author Victor Sparozic provides insight into a time when right was right and wrong was wrong.
“The Boys of Brooklyn” features a motley cast of characters, all loyal to an up-and-coming member named Sonny. Vito Sparo, the story’s main character, becomes involved in the criminal group at a very young age and is totally dedicated and loyal to his mobster friends.
Sonny is a self-made man and leader of the clan. As tests of loyalty, Sonny directs his men to frequently engage in bloody missions that repay favors, punish disloyalty or pay off debts.
Vito is known for his moral compass; he vows never to kill an innocent person. But he dutifully tags along on missions to take out scumbags and thugs, each culminating in celebrations with Sonny at a strip club.
Amidst the flurry of carnage and crime, Vito still finds time for love with his girlfriend, the one person he will fiercely protect with whatever means necessary.
Within “The Boys of Brooklyn,” readers can expect a hard-hitting, behind-the-scenes view of organized crime from the perspective of a reluctant mobster who dedicates his life to his crime boss and family.
