Victory Energy Hires Noted Industry HRSG Expert Vijay Patel to Help Lead the Company’s Business Expansion Efforts in the Power and Utility Markets
Collinsville, OK (PRWEB) November 07, 2013 -- Victory Energy announces the hiring of Vijay Patel to a newly created position as Vice President of Business Development – Utility Sales. Patel’s primary role is to help Victory Energy to assume a greater penetration of combustion turbine heat recovery steam generator applications in the power and utility industry—both domestically and internationally.
Having worked in the industry for over three decades, most recently in sales, product and market development roles with a company active in the power and utility industry as well as running his own consulting company, Patel brings a wealth of knowledge and intimate sales and engineering experience that will provide Victory Energy’s customers with unique insights into the diverse and complicated issues and challenges found on HRSG applications. “We’re excited to have Vijay Patel join Victory Energy. His name is synonymous with HRSG’s. He is viewed by the power and utility industry as the go-to source for all things HRSG,” said John Viskup, Victory Energy President and CEO.
Vijay’s initial emphasis will concentrate on building on Victory Energy’s strong existing position in the power and utility industry to support the requirements of demanding customers, as well as leading product development and sales. “It’s important that we have the resources and talents to deliver on these demanding HRSG applications. Putting that applications and engineering team in place is job one for me,” Patel said.

The hiring of Patel follows on the heels of recent additions aimed at staffing up Victory Energy’s presence in the power and utility segment. In July, Mark Daniel came on board as Director of Utility Business Development. That move was followed in August with Edmund Tan being named as Director of Business Development in the Asia region. All the recent hires reflect the intent of Victory Energy to become the global leader in the supply of Utility HRSG’s.
