The producers of Viewpoints Industry TV are pleased to announce Yates Industries will be featured in an upcoming segment on "Critical Tools and Technology Driving Today's Industry Efficiencies" as part of the show's Industry Solutions series.
Cylinders are used in nearly every industry today, including steel/foundry, automotive, marine, transportation, food, pharmaceuticals, plastics, paper & pulp, water, defense, energy, alternative fuel, and many others. These critical pieces of equipment are used wherever there's a need to push, pull, lift, squeeze, or bend. Cylinders are made in all sorts of sizes; they can be quite small, with a bore diameter of just one-and-a-half inches, or very large, with a bore diameter of 50 inches or more. Some cylinders are pneumatic, or powered by air, while others are driven by hydraulics.
Yates Industries holds the unique distinction of manufacturing new, high-quality cylinders and repairing existing cylinders. The Company was founded in St. Clair Shores, Michigan in 1972 as a fluid power products distributor and repair facility. In 1975, Yates began manufacturing its own line of cylinders. Today, the family-owned business operates from two locations: St. Clair Shores, Michigan and Decatur, Alabama.
The five-minute Viewpoints Industry TV show segment will educate viewers on the role that cylinders play across many industries today, and will feature Yates' unique abilities to manufacture and repair these critical pieces of equipment.
