New York, NY (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- When the new American brand Vintage Heartland debuted its first lingerie collection back in May, it needed 5 police officers to control the crowds and keep the photographers in line. The crowds went crazy. "It was like the Beatle's reunited!" Liegey stated excitedly.

The setting wasn’t New York, or LA, or even Nashville, which might have been appropriate considering the label’s country inspiration -but China, where Vintage Heartland wowed visitors at the annual Shenzhen International Lingerie Show with a booth set up to look like a barn. It seemed like country music needed no translation, and the founder Kate Liegey single handedly brought “country” and her brand Vintage Heartland to 1 billion consumers on the highly popular China Network Television, who covered her unique show. Sohu also did an hour-long photo shoot and interviewed Liegey on her brand on their TV show women.sohu.com.

Liegey believes that by selling USA brands in China (60% of the Chinese consumer wants American made and designed product) she can turn the tables, and bring lost dollars back into the US economy.

“Why not? It's a bold approach, but I want to help support our economy, and you have to think outside the box,” Liegey states. “I believe that I have proven the theory by opening a store this year in Shenzhen, and now I want to build a factory to support my vision in Nashville. We live in a global economy, and need to understand how to generate new streams of revenue.”

Liegey has met with several investors as well as Bill Hagerty from the TN Department of Economic and Community Development to discuss building the first apparel factory in the USA based on high technology and green energy. Mr. Hagerty is a visionary, and understands how to help develop new ideas for Tennessee. Liegey states. She also hopes to rally Nashville’s more socially conscious celebrities to get the word out.

Liegey brings 20 years of experience to this exciting new venture. She has helped develop brands for major fashion houses such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, has designed many celebrity lingerie lines and has helped build factories worldwide.

Vintage Heartland is the culmination of that experience and gives Liegey the chance to pay tribute to her own roots and traditional values. Vintage Heartland uniquely separates itself from the other lingerie brands by focusing on the authentic American woman; a modern girl who still appreciates her roots wherever she may live. Vintage Heartland ‘s designs are inspired by the romantic lyrics sung in today’s country music and Liegey’s love for vintage style. It is a fresh new look that is fun and flirty. “There is so much 'adult' racy lingerie out there,” Liegey says, “I wanted to introduce something unique to the market.

Vintage Heartland’s platform is unique as well. Their marketing hits a lot of notes that resonate deeply in the American psyche- farm life, country music and the old fashioned philosophy of giving back. This is the mantra that is strongly held by Liegey and her team. Their website, wholesale catalogs, and fashion videos were all shot on a sustainable farm. Their packaging is sustainable as well. Vintage Heartland also supports the American Farmland Trust No Farms-No Food Campaign.
