Spinattic Wants to Make it Easy for Non-Programmers to Build Virtual Reality Tours
Glens Falls, New York (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- Spinattic recently launched a beta version web app http://www.spinattic.com that enables photographers to make 360° virtual tours and begin to customize them. In the near future, Spinattic plans to launch a cloud based customization platform that will enable photographers to customize the user interface to match any web branding. Until now, creating virtual reality presentations was difficult. The programming behind 360° virtual tours is a specialized and complicated sub-set of an already difficult web language.
Spinattic is a web app for photographers to upload 360° imagery, create virtual tours and begin to customize their tours. Photographers can then share the tour on Spinattic's social network and use the given embed link and integrate it into any 3rd party website. Privacy settings also allow users to disable sharing options so that users can control where and who can view the virtual tour. Soon, Spinattic will launch a platform that allows its users to choose a user interface template and customize colors, fonts and layout.
"Our goal is to enable all photographers to bring their imagery to an easy-to-use cloud platform with little time and money invested, and come out with a quality 360° virtual tour that would rival virtual tours made by companies that have more resources, time and a big budget." says Ariel Micheletti, Spinattic's VP of Technology and Co-Founder. Spinattic and its current features are free; however, the next round of features to be released will have a nominal fee.
"There are many techniques, devices and cameras used to create a 360° panorama, but making it into a quality virtual tour is limited and exhaustive", says Derrick Clark, Spinattic's President and Co-Founder. "We are not interested in the panoramic creation. We'll leave that to the creative photographer. We are focused on delivering virtual reality solutions that make the tour's user interface easier to create after the imagery has been taken". Co-Founders Derrick Clark, Ariel Micheletti and Rebecca Smith have a combined 18 years in the virtual reality industry.
