The hunt for a long-lost treasure begins in author Walt Branam’s new action novel, “Alaska Gold” (published by Abbott Press), the first in a planned trilogy.

While celebrating his granduncle’s birthday, recently retired, highly-decorated US Army ranger Tom Wolfe learns of a lost treasure, a fortune in US Treasury gold bars lost 60 years ago in the Alaskan wilderness, but others want it too. Wolfe assembles of team, with varying talents and backgrounds, who must who must learn to work together.

The quest takes the group into the Alaskan wilderness, and pits them against a ruthless billionaire, a gang of coldblooded thugs and even each other. From navigating volcanic lava tubes to evading federal agents wanting to recover the gold and battling an enormous bear, Wolfe must use his combat skills and his wits if he expects to claim the gold and survive.
