Hood River, Oregon (PRWEB) July 03, 2014 -- Gorge goers rejoice: glamping is now available for the 2014 season at Vagabond Lodge in Hood River, Oregon. Glamping, or, glamorous camping, is everything travelers have always wanted camping to be. And now, it’s right where it should be – a few steps away from a Vagabond Lodge motel room and the Columbia River Gorge!
Scott Hale, the Chief Experience Officer of Wanderlust Hospitality, recognized “this collaboration is a great opportunity for Vagabond and Wanderlust to serve up a new sort of solution to travelers split on whether they want to camp or get a hotel room. With glamping at Vagabond Lodge, they’ve got both!”
Wanderlust has equipped Camp Vagabond Lodge sites with a classic canvas wall tent and tasteful furnishings including a cushy queen-sized bed and real mattress appointed with nice linens and a fluffy comforter. Guests who book from a select group of lodge River View rooms will have the option to add a Wanderlust Hospitality glamping tent to their experience. Camp Vagabond Lodge will offer two Wanderlust glamping tents for the 2014 season: sunny Eagle Camp, perched among the Gorge rocks, and shaded Woods Camp, tucked into a cozy wooded spot. Both are a few steps away from the lodge motel rooms and feature breathtaking views of the Gorge and the mighty Columbia River.
Vagabond Lodge President Grant Polson added that the Wanderlust glamping experiences are “the perfect complement to our lodge, our history and our growth. They’ll also be attractive to our guests who can’t get enough of the great outdoors!”
Vagabond Lodge has been family owned and operated since it opened its doors back in 1954 and has grown in size and popularity ever since. Vagabond Lodge is surrounded by seven acres of majestic pine trees and native wild flowers and also offers a brand new event venue boasting stunning views on a large manicured lawn with a beautifully landscaped amphitheater. There’s also a nice BBQ and campfire area for all guests to enjoy. The Lodge offers 57 rooms, most with views of the Columbia River, and all with complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV, a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee maker.
