WarrantCheck.com Updates Database Filters to Make Sure All Warrant Records Are Legitimate
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) August 09, 2013 -- WarrantCheck.com has updated their IT architecture to ensure that outdated warrants are quickly removed from the system and that all current warrants are legitimate, the company said yesterday.
“Unlike many other public records search companies, the status of our records is constantly changing,” a WarrantCheck.com spokesman said. “That's why we needed to build new database filters to ensure that our warrant records are legitimate and up to date.”
Legitimate warrant records include any case where a warrant is still active, which means the person in question has not turned himself or herself in or been arrested, the WarrantCheck.com spokesman said.
“When it comes to minor warrants, often they are only active for a couple of days,” the WarrantCheck.com spokesman said. “The police either know where the guy is or he turns up in order to avoid jail. We need to purge those records quickly in order to have only legitimate active warrants turn up in our reports.”
The new filters will immediately check with the database that issued the warrant to ensure it is legitimate before it is included on a WarrantCheck.com report, he said.
“This is our way of being fair to our customers and the people they are looking up,” the WarrantCheck.com spokesman said. “If someone had an overdue traffic ticket for two days, there is no legitimate reason for it to stay in our system forever.”
