The Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB) received two STAR Awards for its destination marketing efforts last Wednesday afternoon at the Ohio Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus’ (OACVB) Annual Conference.
Presented annually by the OACVB, the STAR (State Tourism Achievement Recognition) Awards serve to honor outstanding efforts made by Ohio-based convention and visitors bureaus in the marketing and promotion of their respective tourism destinations.
“The OACVB is a tremendous organization that does exceptional work for our industry and we’re honored to have once again earned their recognition this year,” said Phillip S. Smith, President & CEO of the WCCVB. “Our staff works hard every day to spread the word of Warren County and to grow the Ohio’s Largest Playground brand, so it’s always wonderful to have that effort commended.”
The WCCVB won first place honors for its online blog – Stories From The Playground - as well as a new series of print advertisements it debuted in 2022.
Previously, the WCCVB also earned seven RUBY (Recognizing Uncommon Brilliance Yearly) Awards at the Ohio Travel Association’s 2022 Ohio Conference on Travel this past October.
